Geographical

James Township is located southwest of the Saginaw city limits, is bordered on the north by Saginaw city, Saginaw and Thomas Townships, Swan Creek Township on the west, St. Charles Township on the south and Spaulding Township on the east. The Shiawassee State and National Game Refuges, farms, and quiet rural living make up the 19 square miles labeled as James Township.

Currently, our fire department serves 2100 residents.
